2025 VOYAGE AUSTIN TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ady Hernandez.

Hi Ady, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in Texas son of a musical legend Little Joe Y L familia.
I Grew up on the road and in the studio learning from many of the musicians that came through my father’s band.
started performing on stages with my father as young as 7 years old.
Starting writing around the age of 15 learning to play multiple instruments.
Eventually moving to Austin from Temple Tx quickly forming the group Dahebegebees which toured the USA opening for major acts and festivals under CAA.
Then later I started the group 80H PROJECT
“A smooth vocal heavy positive groove based crew with an amazing feel.”
80Hproject came together in the fertile music hotbed of their native Austin, TX.
The band since expanded our presence to the Nashville, TN music scene and is fast making their mark. The 80HProject are continually ramping up our original, uncompromisingly soulful sound and are breaking through as “just below the radar” sensation.
80H Project has the tenacity of a new upcoming band combined with the history of a seasoned group.
Our live performances have been described as, Carlos Santana mixed with Stevie Wonder”

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have to say it’s been an amazing journey I have had super highs and some heartbreaking lows.
I really think all of my struggles have been just part of the life style of being a musician late nights bad habits and
terrible eating.
To me bad gigs are always a learning experience I should take to heart and change next time.
I have been doing music long enough now to see the industry change on how it works from the consumption and distribution.
I’m still feel very blessed to be able to write music and get to play for people that enjoy what I do.
all in all I guess as smooth as I can make it! lol

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I would have to say I bring people together it’s my strongest asset. I can write lyrics do arrangements and record the music I create it’s kinda a must these days. I would say I’m known for my positive music. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve had with everyone I’ve had the privilege of working with. What sets me apart from others is there’s only one Ady and I perform just a little different than everyone else.

What matters most to you? Why?
I think being honest with my music keeping it true to my heart. Its a reflection of me and my group.
